Redding Veterans Home

The Veterans Home of California-Redding is located in the heart of the beautiful northern Sacramento Valley. The Home is situated on a 26-acre campus on Knighton Road in south Redding. It is conveniently located across the street from the Redding Outpatient Clinic, part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System providing specialty care. With breathtaking views of the Trinity Alps to the west, Mt. Shasta to the north, and Mt. Lassen to the east, along with multiple lakes and waterfalls nearby, the Home’s location provides residents with endless cultural and recreational opportunities to discover.

Opened in October 2013, the Home is a 153-bed long-term care facility providing options for Assisted Living, also known as the Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, Skilled Nursing Care, and Memory Care. Onsite physicians provide medical care in both the licensed outpatient clinic and the inpatient skilled nursing settings. Specialty care is provided at the Redding VA Clinic or at the Sacramento VA Medical Center if needed. Acute care is provided at either Shasta Regional Medical Center or Mercy Medical Center, both located in Redding.
